BALLET LEVEL 2A CLASS OPTIONS

BALLET LEVEL 3A CLASS OPTIONS

BALLET LEVEL 4A CLASS OPTIONS

REQUIREMENTS: THREE BALLET AND POINTE CLASSES, ONE JAZZ, ONE ENSEMBLE, AND OPTIONAL ACRO & TAP CLASSES PER WEEK. ADDITIONAL CLASS AND PRODUCTION REHEARSAL ON SATURDAYS BEGINNING IN JANUARY

BALLET LEVEL 5B CLASS OPTIONS

REQUIREMENTS: FOUR BALLET AND POINTE CLASSES, ONE JAZZ, ONE ENSEMBLE, AND ONE VARIATIONS CLASS PER WEEK. OPTIONAL TAP CLASS AVAILABLE. ADDITIONAL CLASS AND PRODUCTION REHEARSAL ON SATURDAYS BEGINNING IN JANUARY

Ballet Level 2A (4th Graders and up):

This level increases technique, vocabulary, and theory of the previous levels. Maximum range of turnout and correct posture is encouraged throughout barre work. A greater number of steps are added, a deeper understanding of artistry is introduced, and a greater emphasis is placed on strengthening the legs and feet to prepare for pointe work. Students in Ballet Level 2 and up also participate in the Company Ensemble. Performing enables students to grow technically and artistically, and allows them to share their passion with others.  Performances, including competitions, are a great way for students to practice performance skills, as well as gain valuable feedback from qualified judges. We compete for the experience, feedback, and community building. Other performance opportunities include local performances and dance festivals. Class requirements include: Ballet 2 days per week along with Acro. 

 

  • Tuition: $230 per month 

  • Details: 90 minute ballet class 2 days per week and 45 minute acro back-to-back one day per week 

  • Studio Uniform: Teal leotard with separate skirt, Pink Tights, Pink Ballet Shoes, and Hair in a Classical Ballet Bun. 

  • Additional Class Pairings: Acro, Tap, or Hip-Hop 

  • Performance Opportunities: The Nutcracker, Annual Spring Recital, and Company Ensemble: 2 Local Competitions, Zany Follies, All Ohio Dance Festival. 

  • Milestones: Class increases to 90 minutes 2 days per week. Students begin the Company Program with additional performance opportunities. Students prepare for Level 3 Pointe work. 


 

Ballet Level 3A (6th Graders and up):

In Ballet Level 3, additional attention is paid to the proper extension of the legs and shape of the feet. Students will see an increase in difficulty in barre and center work as they develop more advanced movement sequences, balance, musicality and imaginative artistry. Students begin focusing on repetition and retention, and pointe work is introduced. Class requirements include: Ballet 3 days per week along with Acro and Ensemble. 

 

  • Tuition: $285 per month 

  • Details: Ballet 3 days per week. Ballet and Acro, Ballet and Ensemble, Saturday Morning Ballet.  

  • Studio Uniform: Green leotard with separate skirt, Pink Tights, Pink Ballet Shoes, and Hair in a Classical Ballet Bun. 

  • Additional Class Pairings: Acro, Tap, or Hip-Hop 

  • Performance Opportunities: The Nutcracker, Annual Spring Recital, and Company Ensemble: 2 Local Competitions, Zany Follies, All Ohio Dance Festival. 

  • Milestones: Pointe Work is added. Students participate in 2 company dances: Company Ensemble and Group Ensemble. Students can be a class assistant.


 

Ballet Level 4A (8th Graders and up):

Training intensifies as students mature and gain more knowledge of classical ballet vocabulary. Classes focus on pointe work, pirouettes, allegro, musicality and maturing artistry. Center pointe work is introduced and students are eligible to attend Youth American Grand Prix. Students attend 3 Ballet classes per week along with Ensemble and Jazz. 

 

  • Tuition: $335 per month 

  • Details: Ballet 3 days per week. Ballet and Jazz, Ballet and Ensemble, Saturday Morning Ballet.  

  • Studio Uniform: Blue leotard with separate skirt, Pink Tights, Pink Ballet Shoes, and Hair in a Classical Ballet Bun. 

  • Additional Class Pairings: Acro, Tap, or Hip-Hop 

  • Performance Opportunities: The Nutcracker, Annual Spring Recital, and Company Ensemble: 2 Local Competitions, Zany Follies, All Ohio Dance Festival, YAGP. 

  • Milestones: Center Pointe Work is added. Students begin attending YAGP. 


 

Ballet Level 5B (10th Graders and up):

Ballet Level 5 training becomes more rigorous as classes increase focus on pointe work, extension, fluidity and clarity of movement, multiple pirouettes and complex Allegro as well as stamina for Petite and Grand Allegro. This class meets 4 days a week. Students attend 4 Ballet classes per week along with Ensemble, Jazz, and Ballet Variations. 

 

  • Tuition: $335 per month 

  • Details: Ballet 4 days per week. Ballet and Variations, Ballet and Jazz, Ballet and Ensemble, Saturday Morning Ballet.  

  • Studio Uniform: Maroon leotard with separate skirt, Pink Tights, Pink Ballet Shoes, and Hair in a Classical Ballet Bun. 

  • Additional Class Pairings: Acro, Tap, or Hip-Hop 

  • Performance Opportunities: The Nutcracker, Annual Spring Recital, and Company Ensemble: 2 Local Competitions, Zany Follies, All Ohio Dance Festival, YAGP. Students have the option to perform solos. 

  • Milestones: Ballet variations are added along with Pas De Deux and Additional Lead role opportunities.
